Held every Saturday and Sunday from Thanksgiving leading up until Christmas, Hotel Healdsburg, located in Sonoma County’s wine country, will host its third annual Holiday Afternoon Tea Service, including a special offering for children, beginning Saturday, November 29, 2014.
From 2 - 4 p.m., guests can take a respite from enjoying the town of Healdsburg’s festive shopping experience, and convene in the lobby of the hotel for a tea break. The casual yet elegant service will mimic the relaxing experience of a day spa, as the hotel will even have live piano music in the lobby, lush winter floral arrangements and beautiful holiday décor to set the mood.
Below is the outline of offerings for the 2014 “Wine Country Holiday Tea" experience.
Featuring Tea Domain (Acclaimed Chef Charlie Palmer’s custom tea blends) with a choice of six loose leaf teas brewed to order: Chinese green, Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Pom Goji Berry Green Tea, Chai Spiced Black Tea, and Citrus Rooibos Tea; and local Healdsburg tea selections from Dragonfly Tea Company: Lemon Ginger, Haute Provence and Chardonnay.
The menu will consist of a variety of traditional tea accompaniments with special wine country twists, all made in house by Chef Dustin Valette and Pastry Chef Andrew DiClimenti, highlighting the best of local Sonoma County ingredients. Guests will enjoy Smoked Salmon on Housemade Brioche, Spicy Hummus and Salted Cucumber, Open Faced Tartine with House Made Mustard, Sonoma County Vegetable Wraps, ‘A Good Egg’ Heritage Egg Salad Sandwich with Dustin’s Espelette, as well as a variety of scones, biscuits, housemade jellies, macarons, petits fours, and more. Holiday Tea at Hotel Healdsburg is a family affair and children will be able to enjoy special offerings as well! During the Holiday Tea Service, children will receive an individual child’s plate, hot chocolate with marshmallows and apple cider. And for a special treat, girls will get hand fans and white gloves and boys will receive fake mustaches and little top hats.

Spirit Bar is proudly supplying the non-tea beverages for Holiday Tea, including red, white and sparkling wines and featuring two signature holiday cocktail called The Madison with house infused mandarin spiced vodka, Cointreau, lime juice, orange and grenadine and Chocolate Cherry Manhattan with Maker’s Mark, Carpano Vermouth, Adult Grenadine, Cherry & Chocolate Bitters.
