Furmint: Kiralyudvar, Tokaji, Hungary
Furmint is a native grape of Hungary. Most commonly, Furmit is found on the market as a dessert wine however, dry Furmint wines are available. Dry styles often have notes of smoke, pears, and lime.
Producing wine as early as the 11th century, Kiralyudvar has established itself as an icon in the region. The estate has undergone a renewal in the past decade by producing stellar wines. Their dry Furmint is herbaceous with notes of citrus, and has a full body with a long finish.
