VIDEO: Chef crowned 'Prince of Porc'
4/7/2010
Location: Charlie Palmer at The Joule
Five chefs — two from Oklahoma, two from Texas and one from Utah — gathered at Oklahoma State University. Each of these culinary artists had a single heritage pig as his canvas. Five chefs, five pigs and five winemakers made for nearly 400 happy people who showed up to watch them compete for one spot at June's Grand Cochon in Aspen, Colo.
While Dallas chef Scott Romano of Charlie Palmer at the Joule walked away with the title of "Prince of Porc" and flight reservations for Aspen, losing was not on anyone's menu. That said, some were luckier than others.
